Based in Ottawa, the National Judicial Institute (NJI) is an independent, not-for-profit institution committed to building better justice through leadership in the education of judges in Canada and internationally.
The NJI has become an acknowledged world leader in the design and delivery of judicial education, known for offering dynamic and relevant programming to judges in Canada.
In its international work, the NJI seeks to strengthen the rule of law through judicial education and judicial reform. Through strengthening judicial institutions, progress can be made towards poverty alleviation and development.
